Scott M.X. Turner, RebelMart's rhythm guitarist, singer and songwriter, plays solo gigs.  Here's the place to hear his all-alone approach.

Whether wiedling an acoustic or electric guitar, bodhrán, piano or acapella voice, Scott wins over crowds with passion, intensity and wide-cast net of original songs and covers.  From rock-clubs to coffee houses to multi-tear auditoriums, Scott's at home wherever he's booked to play.

Scott's been at it a while.

Past bands include The Service, The Spunk Lads, the Devil's Advocates and one dust-'em-up U.S. tour playing guitar for British ska legends Bad Manners.

Scott's first album, besides the two unreleased Service discs in the 1980s, was 1994's Ya Got A Kalashnikov Ya Got A Job.  That was followed by The Wrong Kind Of Asshole For America (1997) and Snipers In Derelict Houses (with the Devil's Advocates and United 32s, 1999).  Various Spunk Lads records were released in the 2000s.

Scott is also a steering committee member of Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn.  Past and current dogs include JayBee, Connolly, Sirius, Tikkanen and most recently, Annie Dihigo.

Work has begun on Scott's next solo album, Wilderness.  Sessions have commenced at Cobra Studios in West Seattle and in Turner's home studio on the banks of the Duwamish River, in the shadow of the West Seattle Bridge. Expected release date for the new album -- decidedly fluid -- is Summer 2015.

Give a listen to some of Scott's solo recordings.  "The River Foyle" was recorded at Cobra Studios, engineered by Brian Marshall.  "Fearless Road" is from RebelMart's 2010 album Amalgamated Saboteurs Local 21.  "Star Of The County Down" was recorded with the trad Irish outfit Bootstraps & Mayhem.

While you're at the RebelMart SoundCloud where these tunes are available, give a listen to other songs there -- they're all part of Scott's repertoire.

Contact Scott about playing at your bar, club, event or rally.  Or good recipes, a pooch in distress or how St. Pauli can avoid relegation.
